These photos were taken during an expedition to Antarctica aboard the National Geographic Endeavour in Jan & Feb, 2009. We had the great fortune to land via zodiac at 14 different locations on the White Continent, kayak among the icebergs, cross the Antarctic Circle, walk among 10's of thousands of nesting penguins, and encounter humpback whales, southern orcas, leopard seals, albatross, and many more amazing animals in this stark and incredibly beautiful landscape.
