On this trip we explored the several beautiful cities in Sicily. We spent the first day in Catania, then traveled to historic Agrigento. Next day en route to Ragusa, we visited the Valle dell'Acate winery, then settled in Ragusa for dinner and a ceramic shop visit. Here we made daily excursions to the surrounding areas. We first visited Pianogrillo, a farm with vineyards, olive groves, and pigs, where we had a degustation lunch with the proprietors. That evening we walked to the ChocoHouse, where we learned to make Sicilian chocolate!. Next day we visited Albacara Bio, a goat farm where we learned to make cheese, then on to Tenuta Carbonara and a cooking class where we made our own pasta from scratch. Another day we visited Syracuse (it., Siracusa) where we explored the old city and visited its historic park (see History & Landscape gallery).
