Welcome to our three week trip to Madagascar and Cape Town in the fall of 2023. Nearly two weeks of our time was spent in Madagascar, exploring the cities, villages, and especially the national parks and rain forests, where most of the indigenous wildlife is found. We also had a unique opportunity to visit a wildlife research center in the southern part of the country as a result our our long relationship with the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and its scientific staff (a bit more on this in the gallery writeup). Afterward we visited Cape Town, exploring in and around the beautiful city, learning about its history and the area's exceptional land and sea scapes.

I've grouped this trip into three galleries. The first two share our adventures in Madagascar and the third our exploration of Cape Town and the southern African coast.
